Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has questioned her colleagues over the money being spent on luxury cars, jewellery and private jets in the music industry.
The singer raised the question in a social media post, jokingly saying she also wanted to have a share of the money being spent on expensive items by some of her colleagues.
“I must also partake in this money you people are spending on cars, chains, planes because the devil is what...” she wrote.
Her post attracted a reaction from fellow singer Bankulli, who responded with laughing and heart emojis.
Tiwa then replied, asking where the money was being shared and pointing out that she had been making Afrobeats music for more than a decade.
“Where are they sharing this money because wetin happen na, I don dey sing this Afrobeats for over a decade now,” she wrote.
Her comments have sparked reactions online, with some fans interpreting the post as a humorous take on the growing display of wealth and luxury within the Nigerian music industry.
